What traditions have you not kept that your parents had?
The tradition that I have not kept that my parents had is my inability to fully follow their valuable tradition of collective solidarity in my life which has always been their Peaceful way of living.
My Parents are a very well-mannered and respected people in our community who treats everyone equally as they would with their own, living their lives according to ethical principles such as compassion, respect, love, kindness, integrity, justice, truthfulness, honesty, among others.
My parents gave so much significance to this code of living. They harmonized with these values in order to promote positive peaceful relations with their family, friends and neighbors, as they attend social events and public gatherings always.
Usually, they attend funerals, marriages, naming ceremonies and many others, prioritizing collective responsibility in order to maintain peaceful ties with their contemporaries regardless of how long they need to travel. Truly, I lack drastically on this aspect of life, and it reflects in how some of my contemporaries are not happy about our lack of connection.
Additionally, to my knowledge, there are far more gaps between the standards of more good and less evil as I tend to be somehow more focused on the worldly life to a certain degree, destructing me from inheriting this great tradition.
In all, my parent’s harmonization of this tradition sheds light on how I need to improve my social aspect of life and public relations based on collective solidarity, the notion of more good and the avoidance of evil.
