If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
When asked the question “If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?” my answer naturally expands beyond a single country or continent. I would choose to explore every developed country across the globe. This desire is not driven by indecision but by the dream of learning, creating and immersing myself in places that inspire innovation and excellence.
A Dream Inspired by Purpose and Curiosity
My greatest aspiration is to pursue my masters degree abroad, especially in the field that fuels much of our modern world which is software engineering. This field shapes global communication, powers entire industries and influences nearly every aspect of life today. Studying it at an advanced level in institutions built for innovation is a dream I hold close to my heart.
After spending years researching various developed countries, I have explored opportunities from Europe to the Americas and studied the technological landscapes of major Asian nations as well as the unique academic environments of the Australian Peninsula. Each region offers promising academic cultures that encourage creativity, discipline and technological advancement.
Why I Want to Travel Overseas
Traveling abroad is not just a personal dream. It is a necessary step in my design, creativity and development journey. After obtaining my Bachelor of Arts degree at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana, I realized how much my future growth depends on global exposure, advanced learning and access to diverse perspectives.
In the community where I currently live, very few people are genuinely interested in software development. This is likely because many are unaware of the opportunities it provides and the immense impact it has on the modern world. As someone who understands its potential, I am committed to pushing further.
I am currently working on a social media and commerce application, a project that combines creativity, technology and real world relevance. To take this project to the global stage, I need broader experience, deeper knowledge and stronger networks. Traveling abroad will allow me to learn from leading industries, connect with innovators and gain the expertise required to successfully launch and scale this application.
The Financial Barriers I Face
However, my journey faces a major challenge. Education abroad is expensive. Tuition fees, accommodation costs, living expenses and countless other requirements create significant financial barriers. Although I have applied for scholarships, I have not yet found one that aligns with my background and academic direction.
These costs reflect the extraordinary quality of education abroad, but they also place global opportunities beyond the reach of many talented individuals who aspire to do more.
