What would you change about modern society?
If I could change something about modern society, it would be the deep-rooted cycle of violence, falsehood, and moral decay that continues to harm individuals and communities across the world. I would shift the focus from aggression, deception, and self-interest toward a culture rooted in peace, truth, and righteousness.
One of the greatest illnesses of our time is the normalization of lies whether in politics, relationships, media, or business. Falsehood clouds judgment, fuels conflict and leads people away from justice. By restoring truth as a sacred value, something to be upheld even when inconvenient, we create the foundation for real peace and trust among people.
This change must begin with reawakening the moral conscience of society. We need to nurture values like honesty, empathy, forgiveness, and justice in our homes, schools, religious spaces, governments, and media. True peace is not merely the absence of war but the presence of truth, dignity, and mutual understanding. When truth becomes the standard, violence loses its justification and hatred loses its fuel.
We must also challenge the systems that benefit from conflict and deception, political, economic, and cultural structures that thrive on misinformation, fear, and division. In their place, we must build just and transparent institutions that value human life and are grounded in moral clarity.
Ultimately, I would call for a return to spiritual and moral values, grounded in the belief that we are all accountable not just to one another, but to a higher truth. Peace is not passive, and righteousness is not naive. They are both conscious choices that demand courage and discipline. If modern society could embrace truth and righteousness as its guiding lights, then the violence and confusion that plague our world could begin to give way to healing, justice, and unity.
